awakening to your essence

(an empowerment workshop for women)

Friday, January 31st, 7:00pm-9:30pm

Join Meg and Emily in ceremony with a circle of women who share similar desires and challenges. Meg will open our evening with guided meditation to ground and center us, breath work to enliven us and a brief discussion on essence and what it means.  We will then encourage each other individually to prepare for artistiic expression. Meg will hold sacred space while Emily offers techniques and encouragement for your creations.Before we end our evening, you will have an opportunity to share your authentic self with the circle. Your artwork will then serve as a reminder of the beauty you hold while allowing your wonderfully unique, authentic self to shine!Slow flow is a gentle yoga to de-stress, build strength, quiet the mind and find calm energy. In some ways, it has more traditional roots to Viniyoga. Slow flow style usually provides poses that range from gentle to challenging, but done with stable, self-centering energy.                                          $40 - Purchase tickets here!

 

Sacral Fire Dance

Sacral Fire Dance is a spirit lifting, passion awakening, self-empowering class just for women. In the Tantric cosmology, the whole universe is perceived as being created, penetrated and sustained by two fundamental forces, which are permanently in a perfect, indestructible union. These forces or universal aspects are called Shiva and Shakti.* The goal of this class is to bring balance to the two so that you may feel fully alive in all you do. If you want to get in touch with your divine feminine power (Shakti) and balance it with your divine masculine (Shiva), this class is for you. You will be guided by story telling, dance, yoga and free movement through a lifetime of union, separation, struggles, victories and rebirth back to your authentic self.

Slow Flow Yoga

Class pace is slower with an emphasis on safe alignment and maintaining the balance of slow breathing. The toned-down speed doesn’t mean that the poses are any less beneficial for building strength, stability and postural integrity than other styles. This slower pace is definitely more conducive to the meditative practices of mindfulness and breath awareness. This makes it particularly well-suited to newer students, or for those who desire deep concentration within their practice.  

yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body.Poses may be held from 3 to 5 minutes.

Gentle flow

A great way to relax and unwind with calming meditation, gentle stretching, and some restorative poses. If strengthening is desired, modifications are always available in order for you to make your practice work for you as you honor the messages your body is sending you. 

Restorative Yoga with Reiki

Students experience the benefits of supported, restful, restorative yoga poses along with hands-on Reiki energy assists. No experience necessary. Great care will be given to make sure students are comfortable in all yoga poses.
